Injected aluminum from vaccines seems to end up in the brains of at least some people with autism. Christopher Exley (UK researcher, who is now having trouble getting his research funded!) discovered some of the highest levels of brain aluminum in a sample of subjects who had died with a diagnosis of autism.
Christopher Exley has also suggested at least one way to remove it, using silicated mineral water.
