It is an article in German. Darknet, childporn and so on…
Rumors are in the open it was a NATO bunker and De Maizere was in it (sold it). For this, I search for sauce, but the rest is confirmed!

Trial against Darknet Data Center Hoster
Evidence: CD mountain is 8,000 meters high
Drugs, counterfeit money, child pornography, cyber fraud: a former German Army bunker was a criminal cyber stronghold. Now the trial against the masterminds who hosted many illegal websites begins.
The hub for million-dollar criminal deals in Darknet was hidden in a former bunker. Spread over five floors underground, there were more than 400 servers through which criminals from all over the world sold drugs, sent child pornography, launched cyber attacks or sold counterfeit money. At the end of September 2019, the cyber bunker in Traben-Trarbach (Rhineland-Palatinate) was excavated in a major police operation. Now the trial against the operators begins: Starting next Monday (October 19), eight defendants will have to stand trial before the Trier Regional Court for aiding and abetting around 250,000 criminal offences.
What is special about the trial?
For the first time the focus is not on the perpetrators who sell drugs or weapons in Darknet, but on those who make the business possible in the first place. "It is the first trial of its kind," says Senior Public Prosecutor Jörg Angerer from the State Central Office for Cybercrime at the General Prosecutor's Office in Koblenz. The charge is directed against operators of a "bulletproof host", which, for a fee, provides criminal customers with a data center that is secure from police access.
Who is behind it?
The accused are four Dutchmen, three Germans and one Bulgarian. The "head of the group" is supposed to be a 60-year-old Dutchman who acquired the bunker previously used by the German Army at the end of 2013. According to the indictment, he was the one who made all business decisions. Another Dutchman is said to have acted as a kind of manager, a German was the "accountant". The others in the team, aged between 21 and 60, had been responsible for technology and IT as administrators. They are said to have been involved in the deeds in varying degrees.
What went over the servers?
Big Fish was the world's second largest darknet marketplace for prohibited goods called "Wall Street Market" which investigators had smashed to pieces in spring 2019 - including some 240,000 narcotics deals worth a good 36 million euros. Hosted sites also included the "Cannabis Road" marketplace with nearly 4,000 individual sales of cannabis products - and the underground forum "Fraudsters", through which data, counterfeit money, ID cards and drugs were traded.
The customer base also included the Darknet platform "Flugsvamp", which sold illegal narcotics and prescription drugs worth between 30 and 40 million euros. And according to the Attorney General's Office, the botnet attack on 1.25 million telecom routers at the end of November 2016 was also controlled via servers in the cyberbunker. Estimated damage: two million euros.
Why did it take almost five years to raid the bunker?
"Because it was very costly to prove that the operators had knowledge of their customers' machinations," says Angerer. But that was crucial in order to be able to charge them with aiding and abetting. It was successful by monitoring the network node in the data center. Using chats, among other things, one could prove that the criminal organization knew about the machinations and had "significantly supported and encouraged" them by providing the servers.
How much IT was in the ex-bunker of the German Armed Forces?
The amount of data secured during access, among other things on 886 physical and virtual servers, amounts to two million gigabytes: Burned on CD, that would be 2.6 million CDs, which, stacked on top of each other, would reach a height of 8,000 meters, explained Chief Inspector Patrick Fata of the State Office of Criminal Investigation (LKA) Rhineland-Palatinate. Some physical and virtual servers are still "fully encrypted".
