So they aren't even going after them for censorship they are simply saying hey, let's start up some other companies and make sure google can't kill them…

Ya, if done right this will be good for the future, but right now Google, YT, Twitter, FB are where the majority of people go. I would love to switch to other providers, but all of the content I look for is on these sites.
Same issue I have had with microsoft for years…Windows is terrible bloated software, I actually wanted to switch to linux years ago, but all of the things I want/need to do are best done on windows….linux is more viable these days but still a far cry from the options for software etc on windows…
