It's entirely likely that faggots infiltrated and normalized animeposting, but boards like /a/ have been around for a long time and if a normie sees this board as being their first board, it wouldn't surprsie me that infighting would pop up as a result of newfags not being aware of the long trend of animeposting.

I've only ever enjoyed like two or three animes ever and don't really get the weeb vibe, but some anons have been pretending that animeposting isn't commonplace and they're wrong.
