This is the event in question, and it did occur under the Obama admin.
Noteworthy about this event is that it's one in a sequence of events that damaged US IC's ability to keep its NOCs OC'd. The OPM hack that took place a few years later pretty much outed everyone who ever held a clearance. US IC is a bit pants-on-head these days.
I just stopped paying attention to it altogether. It's nice to be able to put things in nice, neat compartments. I'm here for a purpose, and all distractions can fuck off.
