It’s actually potentially worse for the Ds, as one cannot presume that registered Democrats are even voting D. People don’t make a point of frequently switching registration, but they do switch allegiance. PA has registered Ds with a lead in early voting, but if a significant proportion of D registrants votes R it’s a very different story.
