And you're right. Sadly, my mom's not here. She died on a very sad Christmas Day. But her photo is right in front of me, as I type here, and I have memories that nobody can take away (like the 3 bags of Wonder Bread opened up, with greasy little handprints from us grubby kids all over the flaccid slices of bread that wilted in that humid breadbox).
Ah, the good ole days.
As for today's crazy kids. . . . I recently was stopped in traffic by a bunch of them. I was in an open convertible. They surrounded me and pounded on my car.
I yelled at them to back off but they would not. So I did what any normal person from the 60s and 70s would do. . . . I put my right hand on my gun, tucked in my waistband, and I pointed at it with my left hand so that the monkey trying to climb into my car saw it.
As soon as he knew I could defend myself, the little bastard and all his scumbag friends fled.
So the kids today do suck, but thanks to our good old parents, we learned some survival skills, and we learned to protect our Second Amendment like our lives depend on it.
. . . because our lives DO depend on it.
