My ex son in law abused my daughter and grandchildren for 10 years. She finally divorced him. Last year at a child support hearing it was discovered he was rated 80% disabled by the VA. Works full time, makes 70K a year, gets $1900 additional disability. Daughter does not work, gets $300 month in child support for 2 minor children. His disability? PTSD due to "spousal abuse." Since then we have done tons of research. VA disability fraud is a HUGE problem. There are websites, etc. that teach Vets how to game the system. Doosh bag served 15 years, was convicted and discharged via court martial for adultery. He's a fraud and the most disheartening thing about the whole issue is the VA simply doesn't give a rats ass. Taxpayers getting the shaft. I'm a Vet, and have no issue what so ever providing taxpayer funds to truly disable men and woman who served our country, but those who commit this fraud, and there are many, should be in prison.
