So because reasons I ended up reading the Finnish novel Yösyöttö and not long after seeing the movie version (the English title of which is Man and a Baby). The story is about a husband who suddenly finds himself the single father of an infant.

There are embedded symbols. Probably the clearest and most prominent example is the prevalence of the number 23, which is present in many scenes both early and late in the movie. This is particularly notable because the movie-makers actually changed a number in the original book to be 23 for seemingly no reason. The main character also wears in many scenes clothing with the number 23 on it.

Another particularly interesting change from the novel is the movie-original scene in which the main character is being arrested for drunkenness and taken to a police van when two friends of the main character appear suddenly and bribe the policemen with the custom pizza the main character had ordered. In general the plot, especially relating to the mother, has been simplified a lot, making the story sound even more like a man receiving a trafficked infant. There are also other things.

The director is a former child actress.

The logo of the production company Solar Films is interesting. The title of the company refers to the sun, the logo contains a moon, and the overall shape is Saturn. I'm not into Finnish cinema but it looks like the company has maybe been responsible for producing more than the average amount of movie degeneracy and possible negative social engineering.
