Been a few years but the first game puts you in the roll of a vet who was "drafted" into the new occupied American army, you of course refuse and get put on a bus to be sent to a concentration style camp only to be saved by resistance members. (#resistance?)
Following that you liberate a cul-de-sac/neighborhood, grab white phosphorous to experimate with korean BBQ on later mission, locate a mass burial gravesite of those who resisted the korean takeover where your buddy blows your cover by shooting at the koreans, after that you actually have to hide among the dead to avoid detection while they shoot into the mass grave hoping to kill you.
Later on you take down a and I shit you not a tigerdirect.com store where the koreans were using to refuel I believe or something, it was some sort of strategic importance. Anyways you get to try out korean BBQ there until hopper is a retard who misfires upon you (you survive) cooking your friends except the ones that are tied to the plot. After that you fight through the store to escape your hit/blunder only to find out that once you head back for the resistance HQ that it was hit by the Koreans and secondary plot characters die. By this time the might of kim jun un's lard ass hits the area with full force as they decide to wipe out the entire town/city which then you have to escape out to the country, of course gung-ho in a stolen korean vehicle.
Once you are out there you bump into the deplorable that Hillary was talking about who shoot at you because they are simply basket cases. (written like a true libtard would) Anyways they are just doing what they need to do to survive but you know, written like fucking lunatics as usual. After you do what is your obama given right and put down all those dirty deplorables you take their helicopters.
After that you use the helicopters to hijack some jet fuel tankers for the US army by shooting down all the armored vehicles surrounding it. After that you join in on the US army to liberate the liberal nutcase capital of the world San Fransisco. The last mission is on the golden gate bridge where you are clearing out all the AA and what not stuff till at the end you are attacked by a Goliath which you also use a few times earlier in the game. (koreans having access to US weapons) This acts as the final boss as such which afterwards one of the main plot characters sacrifices himself by running into a battalion of korean tanks and telling the airforce to focus on the flare as a target to drop bombs on. Thus clearing the bridge and way for the army to bring their tanks into liberate SF and that is where the original homefront ended.
I'm sure they were planning something along that line. North korea was always suppose to be a trigger for WWIII but that has been defused and now Iran is in the process of being defused as we speak. The game was fictional but there is a blend of what they wanted to do regardless. They wanted US to collapse and they wanted the EU to "save" it that way it could be under EU control but that is not going to happen now. This game will remain as only that, a game as long as we stick to the plan.
To me with this game and a lot of the other war games of that time it was more about getting millennials and Gen Z'ers in the mindset of things they wanted to occur, war on a world wide scale as to desensitize us so we would have no problems with killing another man when that time came by making the enemies look like monsters, while turning us into monsters also. With that said I like playing FPS games as much as any other person but just be aware of that while you play those games also, I've noticed the more you are aware of their systems the easier it is to not be… I don't know, sucked into the programing?
Anyways if I am wrong in any aspect of the tear down of this game by all means someone correct me. Like I said at the start it has been years and I'm really not ready to play that crappy game again.
