re: Minutemen. My reference is to the circa 1774 Minutemen as I think we are today. There are plenty that use the term for their businesses but my point is a historical one.
Historians agree that a small percentage of the colonists in America participated in the revolution. George Washington negotiated many a wage dispute with his soldiers and lost many throughout the conflict. He fought the same disillusionment we feel as anons today.
A small percentage of the population of the 13 colonies decided to take their “arms” and follow George Washington. They won a war against the strongest military in the world! some Americans with the “arms” they had been keeping and decided to bear against the world super-power of the 1770’s… an empire on which the sun never set, they said. We sent them packing!
