A word on OpSec (Operational Security):

Many of you are using vpns, surfing in private mode, accessing the board with multiple devices, perhaps using Tor on top of all that. It's a wise move, and I've used a couple of those methods myself. But for the most part, about 2/3 of my posts come from a naked ip. There's a reason for that (besides being cheap and lazy): the only real security that we will ever have is making sure that /ourguys win.

There is some part of me that decided that, by not accessing this board via burner phone every time I posted, I was kind of "investing" myself in the work. I knew that, if we somehow lose and the cabal gets back in power, there's a chance they might get hold of the information here. Besides that, for those of you that post regularly and in the same fashion that you might write elsewhere, it likely wouldn't be too difficult to correlate patterns of speech between here and forums elsewhere–facebook, reddit, comment sections on websites, gaming forums–and by doing so, they might be able to match your posts up to similar posts here, and to accounts elsewhere that might have more information on you. The fact that the higher-ups at Google (I know some of the regular workers–they do respect privacy) are involved with the cabal, and they've got all of that information as well. Then there's Facebook, which collects everything and is tied to /theirguys. I've read that the NSA can pretty much get your entire online history just by getting your email address, and honestly, I think that's an understatement given what is inferred from certain things that I've seen.

The only thing that keeps us safe is the fact that good people are in control right now. We need to do everything we can to make sure that it stays that way…because in truth, outside of some pretty extreme measures, there really is no such thing as anonymity online–just roadblocks you can use to slow them down. Better to invest yourself completely in victory.

Testing for encoding in the name field. Different than the comment field. Wondering if this will give clues as to a character 'table' for solving cryptograms.

Same letters as text field, c & p'd:

all done. Interesting note: 23 characters in the password.

The reason for going through this rigamarole is that you can get an em-dash by typing in three consecutive dashes in the comment field, but if you type three hyphens into the name field you'll just get three hyphens. So this verifies that there were 23 characters used in the password/name field, not 25. Important? No idea yet.

Another note:

The em-dash is unicode character U+2014. There's also a horizontal bar that is U+2015. I'm using that one in the name field for this post to see if there's a difference.

Here it is in the comment section:
