When Q says we are watching a movie maybe the DS showed all of their plans in movies for years and years in advance. A plan they can't/won't deviate from. Which is why we can almost read all their moves. They are stupid because they have all been trained for this and have no brain power because they are all following a script. All we have to do is throw some different scenes into the movie to change the outcome in our favor. But they are still sticking to the script which is why they lose.
