Giving this a better shot at being read (from late last bread):

For those who like searching for newspaper articles across thousands of newspapers printed as far back as 1800's. Newspapers.com offers a subscription service for access to complete articles. Search any name or topic. Filters are provided for date range and State.

The following link is a back entrance into their search feature, bypassing their sign in page. You will not be given access to the complete articles listed in the search results, but an icon window will provide a snapshot with the search term highlighted. Some listings are duplicates, and there will be misreadings at times (poor scanning, poor source). Change the search terms, and the date range, and void any state for total US listings. There will also be foreign and Canadian newspaper listing results.

This back entrance search example is for the name Hitler, dating between 1919-1968, from newspapers in the state of Ohio. I don't know exactly why, but that URL provides the back door entrance to the newspapers.com search feature. I discovered it while looking up articles on a well known family member.

Search result image examples are from searches of the words Tanit, Baal and Hitler. For keks.

MGM's Louis B Mayer was born in Russia, and grew up in New Brunswick (that be Canada). No known connection to Wisconsin, or the machinery business. His racket was theater building. Show biz stuff. Likely a common name.

I want to point out that with the search terms Tanit and Baal, thousands of results show up. Newspaper reporters dug DEEP back then! No internet, and books were costly or limited, so newspapers were THE source for detailed local, national and international news. Most independently owned.
