I recognized the "Barakat" last name from Deah Barakat. He, his wife, and his sister were the three people killed in the Chapel Hill shooting. Deah ran a charity called "Refugee Smiles," which provided dental care to Syrian refugees on the Turkey-Syria border ~2013:

Deah's father's name is Namee Barakat…and he looks a lot like Nasif Barakat. But I don't think the two are the same. Perhaps related.
