To be fair, I am a direct-deposit wage slave myself…but I've worked with some who, for example, insist on participating in a 401k program without even knowing where the term 401k comes from. But they scoff at someone like POTUS while thinking they're masters of their own universes. I swear, if parents won't teach their kids, replace CRT courses with courses in basic tax and financial concepts! And civics.
