Blockbuster Report Reveals How Biden Family Was Compromised By China

In a day when half the US population remained transfixed by the ongoing revelations about the contents of Hunter Biden's "laptop from hell" and the other half was doing everything in its power to ignore the news which the socials have conveniently been desperate to censor, a far less noticed but perhaps just as important investigative report authored by the unknown Typhoon Investigations, was released by Christopher Balding, Associate Professor at Peking University HSBC School of Business Shenzhen, China and also Bloomberg contributor (which is odd considering the clear anti-Trump bias of the Bloomberg media empire) exposing Biden activities in China which "the press has simply refused to cover", and which reveals "how Biden was compromised by the Communist Party of China."

In a series of tweets around noon on Thursday, Balding said that he had really "not wanted to do this but roughly 2 months ago I was handed a report about Biden activities in China the press has simply refused to cover. I want to strongly emphasize I did not write the report but I know who did."

For two months I have worked on behalf of my colleague to ensure that this report helped others report on the documented evidence of Biden activities with regards to China. I want to emphasize a couple of things about my own involvement.

First, I did not write the report and I am not responsible for the report. I have gone over the report with a fine tooth comb and can find nothing factually wrong with the report. Everything is cited and documented. Arguably the only weakness is that we do not have internal emails between Chinese players or the Chinese and Bidens that would make explicit what the links clearly imply.

Second, I will not be disclosing the individual who did write this report. They have very valid reasons to fear for both their personal safety and professional risks. Throughout the years that I have known this individual we never discussed politics. I have never heard them criticize any political party other than the CCP. They are not a Republican.

Third, it was my very real wish that the press would have reported on the documented evidence in this report and left me and the author entirely out of this situation. I did not vote for Trump in 2016 and will not vote for him in 2020. This information however is entirely valid public interest information that the press has simply refused to cover due to their own partisan wishes. I have serious policy differences with President Trump. I am pro-immigration. I would like to see more free trade efforts to shift trade away from China and into partner countries from Mexico to Vietnam and India. I believe that institution building in Asia is vital and America needs to take that lead. However, I cannot in good conscience allow documented evidence of the variety presented here go unreported by partisans who are simply choosing to hide information.

Finally, I will not be answering any questions about the report. I had no wish to be involved in Presidential politics. I do not want to be on the news. I will not be answer any questions about who wrote the report. We need to return the focus to the known documented facts.

In other words, the Thornton delegation met with a senior Chinese foreign affairs official at China’s most famous state building, in a meeting which would have been approved by or informed to China’s top leaders. This was clearly not a business meeting, but (at least in the eyes of the Chinese contingent), rather a nation to nation, state to state meeting.

Fast-forwarding to 2010 (the report has all the interim details), we read that between April 7-9, 2010, "HUNTER was introduced by LIN to China’s most powerful government controlled financial institutions." Here the report notes that "while the English news item is no longer accessible on Thornton’s website, but the Chinese version remains."

Only that's no longer the case, because since the publication of this report, it appears that someone had a keen interest in quickly removing that particular URL as can be seen here. However, courtesy of the wayback machine, we can see what the Thornton consulting website, which was summarily taken down in the past 3-4 weeks, had to say as of this Sept 26 (after which the website just disappears) snapshot:

The report continues that according to Thornton’s news item, HUNTER was introduced as the chairman of Rosemont Seneca and the second son of the US Vice-President, and the purpose of his visit was to “deepen mutual understanding and explore the possibility of commercial cooperation”. LIN had delivered HUNTER to the Chinese for discussions on his pay-off.

Three days later, BIDEN met with then Chinese President Hu Jintao in Washington as part of the Nuclear Security Summit. At the time Hunter was just barely 40 years old.

The Secret Service protects, by statute, the president and vice president and their families.84 As the son of a sitting Vice-President, HUNTER will have had secret service protection during his business trip to China. Freedom of Information Act request records show that HUNTER visited China from April 6 to April 9, 2010. Unusually, for such a high-profile visit, there were no media reports in English or Chinese media. Therefore, his father BIDEN (even if unaware personally, which is unlikely given how close to each other they live and work), will have been aware of his son’s business trip to Beijing through official channels. Given the sensitive nature of US-China relations, HUNTER would have been closely watched by various Chinese securities agencies during the trip.

The report then pivots to dad Joe, who August 18, 2011 held talks with Xi, then Chinese Vice-President, during a five-day trip. At the meeting Biden said the US "fully understands that Taiwan and Tibet issues are China's core interests, the U.S. will continue to resolutely pursue the one China policy, the U.S. does not support ‘Taiwan's independence’, and the U.S. fully recognizes that Tibet is an inalienable part of the People's Republic of China." Biden’s words are verbatim from China’s official standpoint on Taiwan and Tibet. Additionally, Biden said he "has spent more time in private meetings with Xi than any other world leader, including 25 hours of private dinners with Xi and one interpreter."

A few days later BIDEN delivered a speech at Sichuan University, where he said:

A few months after Biden’s Sichuan trip, Archer and Lin worked with a Sichuan Chemical, a large Sichuan state-owned company to set-up a major potash deal (that never materialized) for Prospect Global, a listed US company at the time, that soon delisted and no longer appears to be in business. According to the report, "it is unclear if the purpose of the deal was to just deliver Archer millions of dollars in compensation, to talk up the Prospect Global stock, or if it resulted in Sichuan Chemical transferring millions of US dollars to the US (either for capital flight purposes or to be directed to US politicians such as BIDEN and KERRY)."

CEO of Expensify Urges Customers to Vote for Biden or Risk Civil War Over Trump

Barrett’s email equated a vote for Trump to an endorsement for voter suppression and the dismantling of democracy. “Expensify depends on a functioning society and economy; not many expense reports get filed during a civil war,” he wrote. “As CEO of this business, it’s my job to plot a course through any storm — and all evidence suggests that another four (or as Trump has hinted — eight, or more?) years of Trump leadership will damage our democracy to such an extent, I’m obligated on behalf of shareholders to take any action I can to avoid it.”

It was a calculated choice, Barrett said: While it may be risky, he knew that sending it to more people meant that the message could be more effective.

“This wasn’t just me firing off an email out of the blue,” he said. “This was the result of an inclusive process that really engaged the whole company across a wide range of opinions. And this is a genuine effort just to make the world a better place using the tools at our disposal.”

Violence erupts on Poland’s streets as people protest near total abortion ban

Police fired pepper spray at hundreds of demonstrators in Warsaw as they opposed a court ruling almost completely banning abortion in the country.

Several hundred people gathered in front of Poland’s Constitutional Court and marched towards the residence of the Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the leader of the country’s ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS), to protest a court decision that essentially outlaws abortion.

Police used pepper spray to disperse the crowd. In response, the protesters threw rocks and attempted to break through the cordon around the house.

The demonstration was finally dispersed in the early hours of Friday morning. However, the organizers called for more people to gather throughout the day. A police spokesman confirmed 15 people were detained.

Thursday evening also saw smaller protests in other locations across Poland, including Krakow, Lodz and Szczecin, which went ahead without clashes with law enforcement.

Opponents of the court’s ruling have accused the judges of acting on behalf of the PiS, as the party nominated the majority of individuals on the Constitutional Tribunal. PiS has denied any attempts to influence the court.

The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovic called it a “sad day for women’s rights,” and said, “removing the basis for almost all legal abortions in Poland amounts to a ban and violates human rights.”

Kara Godek, a member of Poland’s Stop Abortion group, praised the decision, saying, “today Poland is an example for Europe, it’s an example for the world.”

Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal ruled on Thursday that abortion due to fetal defects are unconstitutional, banning the most common legal grounds for terminating a pregnancy in the country. Prior to the decision, Poland already had some of the strictest anti-abortion laws in Europe.

Believing, after four days, that she and her colleagues had been treated fairly, Feinstein volunteered across the aisle, "This is one of the best set of hearings that I've participated in."

She gave Graham, a friend and colleague of decades, a brief hug.

The abortion-rights lobby NARAL demanded her removal as ranking Democrat. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer indicated that he had taken the Senate's oldest member to the woodshed.

"I've had a long and serious talk with Sen. Feinstein," said Schumer, "That's all I'm going to say about it right now."

Brian Fallon, executive director of Demand Justice, called on Feinstein to resign from the Judiciary Committee.

Fresno law enforcement rages at Calif. Gov. Newsom: 'The blood of the children being shot by out-of-control gang members in our city is on your hands'

Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp blamed an increase of violent crime on California's coronavirus policies

Local law enforcement officials in San Quentin, California, blamed an increase in violent crime in Fresno County on Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom and his progressive bail policies, slamming the state for prioritizing a "political agenda" over the lives of California citizens.

Speaking at a press conference Wednesday, Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp called on Newsom to stop releasing criminals from prison because of the coronavirus and end zero-dollar bail policies she says are leading to increases in violent crime.

"Stop using COVID-19 to promote your political agenda. The blood of the children being shot by out-of-control gang members in our city is on your hands, and on the hands of every person who does not make public safety a priority," Smittcamp said.

The press conference took place on the same day that San Quentin Officials weighed a decision to appeal the state's release of more than 1,100 inmates, KMJ reported. On Wednesday, a California appeals court ordered state corrections officials to parole or transfer the inmates serving time in San Quentin State Prison, citing officials' "deliberate indifference" to the health and safety of the convicted criminals during the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this year the prison experience an outbreak of the coronavirus, leading to 2,200 infections at its peak and the deaths of 28 inmates.

Labeling the outbreak "the worst epidemiological disaster in California correctional history," the court ruling blasted the prison's decision not to cut the inmate population by half, as recommended by experts, as "morally indefensible and constitutionally untenable."

But from the perspective of Smittcamp and law enforcement agencies in San Quentin, it's releasing violent criminals and endangering public safety that's morally indefensible.

"The law enforcement agencies represented behind me are the ones fighting on the front lines to bring peace to our community. We are in some of the most violent times that we have ever seen. … In the midst of this, our last two governors vowed to close state prisons. Governor Newsom announced that he will close the state prison facility in Tracy, California, on September 30, 2021," Smittcamp said.

"Why is this relevant to why we are here today? It is relevant because we are lacking bed space to house local criminals who are shooting up our cities and killing our children and each other," she continued.

"[Governor Newsom's] solution to COVID protection and prevention is letting them out of prison with no regard for their victims and the communities they will return to terrorize," Smittcamp declared. "So I just said it: Governor: open up the prisons. Do your job. Manage."

Local officials in Fresno County say that since zero-dollar bail and early release policies went into effect in April, gang activity and violent crime have surged.

The statement continues by urging American citizens "to exercise heightened caution in locations where Americans or foreigners may gather, including large office buildings or shopping malls."

Facebook Releases Report on Fight Against ‘Inauthentic Behavior’

Social media giant Facebook has outlined its efforts to fight “inauthentic behavior” on the platform. The company claims that financial gain is the primary motivator for what it describes as “an effort to mislead people.”

In a recently released “inauthentic behavior” report, Facebook outlined some of its recent attempts to prevent the spread of misinformation across its platform. The report outlines attempts often by foreign bodies to influence American users and groups.

Facebook defines inauthentic behavior as “an effort to mislead people or Facebook about the popularity of content, the purpose of a community (i.e.Groups, Pages, Events), or the identity of the people behind it. It also includes behaviors designed to mislead Facebook and evade the controls and limits we place on the use of our platforms.”

Facebook claims that financial motivation is the primary driver behind inauthentic behavior. Facebook claims that those engaging in inauthentic behavior “often use hot-button issues and other spammy lures. They are well-attuned to their target audiences and will quickly pivot to post about the latest viral content or news to deceive people into clicking links to their site.”

Facebook gave examples of some of its efforts to shut down inauthentic behavior on the site, such as the removal of 15 pages and links to at least 850 domains associated with a group called Natural News. Facebook claims that the U.S. based business behind the pages relied on content farms in Macedonia and the Philippines and misled users about the origin and popularity of its content.

Facebook included screenshots of some of the content shared by Natural News that resulted in the company and its CEO being banned from Facebook.

Election Meddling: Twitter Locks Account of Trump Campaign National Press Secretary Hogan Gidley

Two hours before the presidential debate, thirteen days before an election, and on the same day that Jack Dorsey received a subpoena from the Senate Judiciary Committee to answer for his platform’s interference in the 2020 election, Twitter locked the account of the Trump campaign’s national press secretary, Hogan Gidley.

Fox News broke the news of Twitter’s latest act of censorship, which occurred after Gidley revealed that he had been sent a mail-in ballot for someone who no longer lived at his residence.

The tweet said:

“”Got ‘my’…uh wait…no… ‘Daniel’s’ ballot in the mail?!? Who is that? Apparently it’s a former tenant who hasn’t lived in the unit for 8 YEARS!!! But yeah, sure…the mainstream media is correct…unsolicited vote-by-mail is ‘totally safe.’”

Meanwhile, Twitter continues to maintain a lock on the Twitter account of the New York Post, which began over a week ago. Post deputy political editor Emma-Jo Morris reports that the newspaper’s account has now been locked for eight days.

Last week, Twitter also locked the account of White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany after she shared the Post’s story shedding further light on the financial connections between the Biden family and the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Hunter Biden served on the company’s board while his father was Vice President.

Twitter’s actions may prove to be the crossing of the rubicon for Silicon Valley as a whole. In the wake of the platform’s decision to censor the Post, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai said he would support a rulemaking change proposed by the Trump administration to change the official interpretation of Section 230, a law that is critical to the business model of social media platforms, and grants wide legal immunity for them to censor their own users.

Despite the looming threat from lawmakers and regulators, however, Twitter appears to be escalating its campaign of censorship against Trump.

FBI Meeting With Former Biden Family Business Partner Tony Bobulinski, Senator Says

The FBI is meeting Friday with a businessman who has come forward with a trove of documents related to the Biden family’s involvement in a deal with a Chinese energy company, according to Republican Sen. Ron Johnson.

Johnson said in a statement that lawyers for Tony Bobulinski informed him that the FBI had asked to meet with their client on Friday.

“I appreciate that the FBI has a job to do, I am glad they are finally taking an interest in these concerning financial matters our Committees have been investigating for months,” Johnson said in a statement.

Bobulinski was one of five partners in Oneida Holdings, a shell company formed in May 2017 with Hunter Biden, his uncle James Biden and two other businessmen. The partners intended to use Oneida to facilitate a deal with CEFC, a Chinese energy firm chaired by Ye Jianming, a businessman with ties to the Chinese government.

Bobulinski came forward Wednesday to confirm the authenticity of an email released last week that was found on a laptop purportedly belonging to Biden. He also claimed that the Bidens “aggressively leveraged” their family name to generate business with foreign companies.

The email, dated May 13, 2017 email, lays out details of the Oneida-CEFC partnership.

The document says that Hunter Biden was to receive a 20% equity stake in the partnership, and someone referred to as “the big guy” would hold a 10% share.

Bobulinski says that “the big guy” is Joe Biden. His comments could undercut two claims pushed by the Biden campaign and Democrats.

Joe Biden has denied that he was involved in his son’s business dealings. Bobulinski says that documents in his possession contradict that claim.

TikTok Removes Undisclosed Paid Ads by Anti-Trump Influencers

The Chinese-owned video-sharing app TikTok has reportedly removed a number of anti-Trump videos after an investigation showed that many of the creators were failing to disclose that they were paid by a marketing company for the videos, a violation of FTC rules for paid content on social media.

BBC News reports that the Chinese-owned video-sharing app TikTok has removed a number of videos after a BBC investigation revealed that a number of creators on the platform were posting anti-Trump material without disclosing that they were being paid by a marketing company.

The company Bigtent Creative has been funding skits and memes to persuade people to register to vote. One marketing campaign included mixing rapper Cardi B’s “WAP” song with a message from the rapper encouraging people to vote. Some videos it has paid for are reportedly non-partisan but many are anti-Trump and call for him to be voted out of office.

TikTok has banned political ads and requires users to disclose paid-for content, which is a FTC requirement in the United States. BBC News showed TikTok the videos and evidence that they were linked to the marketing company, then TikTok removed a number of videos but hundreds of them already had thousands of views.

A TikTok spokesperson said: “These guidelines also apply to paid content by influencers, and we rely on influencers and marketers to follow FTC guidelines. We remove paid influencer content that’s not disclosed as such as we become aware of it and are now taking action on this.”

Bigtent Creative began as a grassroots initiative that made memes and internet content in support of Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s bid for the Democratic Presidential nomination. Since then, it has become a fully-fledged marketing company working with influencers ahead of the November election.

The company states that it receives funding from a number of Democrat organizations and non-partisan sources including VoteSimple, PushBlack, and ProgressPop. Bigtent Creative argues that its content does not qualify as political advertising but many of the creators that they fund make anti-Trump material which TikTok deems political advertising.

Ysiad Ferreiras, Bigtent Creative’s CEO, said: “Our work is not consistent with the platform’s definition of an advertisement. Our creators make their own content as digital organizers, they’re advocating for non-partisan action the same way paid canvassers and organizers working for non-profits do.”

U.N. Chief Guterres Praises Pope for Backing Same-Sex Civil Unions

The decision by Pope Francis to offer his tentative support for civil union laws for same-sex couples was praised Thursday by U.N. chief Antonio Guterres.

“This is a clear demonstration of a fundamental principle, which is the principle of nondiscrimination,” said Guterres in New York during an interview with the Associated Press. “And one of the things that has been very clear in the U.N. doctrine on this is that non-discrimination is also relevant in the questions of sexual orientation.

“So this is decision of the Pope is, of course, extremely welcome from our perspective.”

Francis’s comments emerged in a new documentary titled Francesco in which he said that “what we have to create is a civil union law,” a position at odds with previous Vatican dogma.

While Francis, 83, opposes gay marriage, his words were hailed by admirers as a “major step forward in the church’s support for LGBT people.”

The pope’s remarks sparked immediate calls for clarification as they seem to directly contradict official Catholic teaching on the matter, as Breitbart News reported.

A Vatican document from 2003, signed by then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger and expressly approved by Saint John Paul II, forbade Catholics from supporting civil unions for gays.

“Those who would move from tolerance to the legitimization of specific rights for cohabiting homosexual persons need to be reminded that the approval or legalization of evil is something far different from the toleration of evil,” the text states.

“In those situations where homosexual unions have been legally recognized or have been given the legal status and rights belonging to marriage, clear and emphatic opposition is a duty,” the document declares, calling such laws “gravely unjust.”

The text lays out a series of arguments as to why Catholics can never support legislation recognizing homosexual couples as civil unions.

China Reviews Presidential Debate: ‘Constant Whining and Blaming’

China’s state-run Global Times dismissed Thursday’s presidential debate between former Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump as “constant whining and blaming,” disparaging both for addressing the Chinese Communist Party as a threat and not an ally.

China’s behavior, particularly the Party’s actions to hide the Chinese coronavirus pandemic from the world when it began as a localized outbreak in central Wuhan, loomed heavily over the opening of the debate, a discussion on how to address the pandemic. Trump also raised the issue of Biden’s alleged suspect business dealings that may have tied him to the Communist Party, while Biden asserted he would make China “play by the international rules,” but did not elaborate.

The Global Times, the most aggressively anti-American of Beijing’s English-language propaganda newspapers, claimed on Friday that Chinese political “experts” viewed the debate as a display of rot in American political thinking, then asserted that no voters would change their minds over the candidates’ answers.

“While both sides seemed to have learnt lessons from the last messy debate, behaving in a much more restrained way under a new policy that required the candidates to be muted while the other was answering,” the Global Times asserted, “the debate still failed to deliver on any substantial plans to address the country’s important problems, with both sides offering greatly different perspectives on foreign policy, the environment, racial injustice and [Chinese coronavirus] topics.”

The Times noted that China remained “the most-mentioned country in their constant whining and blaming.”
