That happened to my dad. His cholesterol was 100. The doctor doubled his dose. When I complained about it the doctor got offended then accused me of wanting my dad to die.

 

Elderly people need cholesterol to protect their veins and arteries. Cholesterol medication strips the veins and arteries of plaque, but eventually, there isn't plaque left to strip, so the interior wall of the veins get stripped down. If I am right, Mitch is slowly bleeding to death.
