I'm not into inviting demons into my mind.
There is a god - a deity over all existence which governs all things, but all conscious things live under or within it. People who try to invite into their mind a specific entity are inviting possession by spirits meeting that criteria. If you think the god of all things is as simple to be possessed by as doing a jig you found in a book in a chant-by-number formula - then you are rather underestimating the scale of said creation and the divine nature of what created it.
There are beings who thrive on being worshipped. They are not divine entities as divine entities do not require worship or particularly care for it as it stunts the growth of others.
