YouTube Is Selling So Many Political Ads It Has Run Out Of Videos To Place Them On
While social media makes its best attempt at trying to get Joe Biden elected by censoring stories about his son, YouTube is facing another dilemma: the platform is so inundated with political ads it has nowhere to put them.
As advertising campaigns flood the platform, YouTube has "struggled" to place the ads in front of the desired audience for each, according to Bloomberg.
Interestingly enough, YouTube is experiencing the shortage most in "critical swing states", where ad prices have doubled as a result. This, obviously, makes political advertising far more lucrative for Google, who saw ad revenue fall this year and will announcing its earnings next week.
Cat Stern, media director for Lockwood Strategy Lab, a digital campaign agency focused on Democratic candidates and progressive advocacy organizations, told Bloomberg: “There’s a crunch. All political advertisers are buying in the same states, to similar audiences.”
YouTube viewers have risen during the pandemic and while commercial ads have been "anemic", political ads have spiked heading into November 3. In highest demand are the ads that users aren't allowed to skip through. There are also ad "reservations" for YouTube's most popular videos that are in high demand.
Reid Vineis, vice president of digital at Majority Strategies, a Republican political ad firm, said: “The reserves tend to be gobbled up by well-funded campaigns.”
While this occurs, other less-well-funded campaigns have turned to platforms like Hulu and Roku to run their ads.
Some states, like Iowa, are usually entirely sold out on YouTube. Tim Cameron, co-founder of FlexPoint Media, said: “A lot of late money that’s coming on board – it’s difficult to find anywhere to put it.”
At some points, YouTube has been unable to place up to 75% of the amounts that people are willing to spend. YouTube didn't comment for Bloomberg's article, but the article notes that a "code yellow" was assigned to Google's staff regarding the inability to place ads, meaning Google was increasing the resources it was deploying to try and solve the issue.
Google has sole more than $139 million in political ads over the last month alone.

Joe Biden Promises to Push Elected Officials into Issuing Mask Mandates Nationwide
Former Vice President Joe Biden is promising that, if elected, he would urge state and local governments to issue mask mandates nationwide.
The Democrat nominee, who has shifted on his support for a federal mask mandate, told supporters in Delaware on Friday that it was vital for the government to implement a “national strategy to position our country to finally get ahead of this virus.” As part of the strategy, the former vice president promised not only to get a spending bill, that deals with both the economic and public safety aspects of the novel coronavirus, through Congress by January, but also to push for comprehensive mask mandates.
“I’ll go to every governor and urge them to mandate mask-wearing in their states,” he said. “If they refuse I’ll go to the mayors and county executives and get local masking requirements in place nationwide.”
Biden added that his administration would “mandate mask-wearing in all federal buildings and all interstate transportation” since “masks” have been proven to “save lives.”
“Wearing a mask is not a political statement. It’s a scientific imperative. It’s a point of patriotic pride, so we can pull our country out of this god awful spiral we’re in,” he said.
The former vice president’s comments come as his campaign has been forced to walk a tight rope on national mask mandates. Initially, over the summer, Biden repeatedly called for the federal government to institute a nationwide order requiring every citizen to don a mask when in public.
As public attitudes towards the novel coronavirus became normalized, however, public opinion not only began to turn against the issue, but questions arose over the constitutionality of such a measure. In September, Biden backed away from the issue slightly, telling a local-CBS affiliate such a mandate was likely to extend beyond the constraints of presidential authority.
“There’s a constitutional issue whether the federal government can issue such a mandate,” the former vice president said, adding he was unlikely to take such a step because of that reason if elected. “I don’t think constitutionally they could, so I wouldn’t issue a mandate.”
Since then, Biden has attempted to balance the issue, as evidenced on Friday when the former vice president pledged to impose mask requirements on federal property, while simultaneously pushing for states and local governments to implement their own mandates.

Video Reveals Rudy Giuliani 'Borat' Scene Is A Total Fraud, 'She's 15' Line Was Dubbed In Post-Production
Video was released Friday of comedian-turned-ADL smear merchant and pro-censorship activist Sacha Baron Cohen's defamatory hitjob against Rudy Giuliani which further confirms Cohen and a complicit media outright lied about what the video shows.
The video is a highly-edited, disjointed compilation of out-of-context clips which nonetheless appear perfectly innocuous and show 24-year-old actress Maria Bakalova initiated all contact with Giuliani, who was single at the time the scene took place.
There's a giant cut when Cohen entered to room to allegedly shout: "Put down your crump, she's 15, she's too old for you!"
There's no evidence Cohen actually even uttered those lines as none of it is captured on video.
"Put down your crump" is played while Giuliani is seen sitting up after tucking in his shirt that was previously untucked by Bakalova.
"She's 15, she's too old for you" is played while Cohen is allegedly barging into the room.

Cohen clearly dubbed that line in during post-production.
Cohen also appears to have dubbed in a fake "woah" sound at the 3:06 mark which viewers are supposed to believe was Giuliani reacting in shock at being busted. You can see in the mirror that Giuliani wasn't shocked and doesn't appear to have uttered a word. Bakalova also appeared to show no reaction.
Between 3:00 and 3:07, three different cameras are used. Cohen had his team cut between the three cameras to make the tucking appear to go on longer than it did to make it seem like he was fondling himself.

Far-left activist actor Mark Ruffalo — who ripped Ellen DeGeneres' call for "kindness" over her photo with former President George W. Bush and said his mother's illegal abortion helped shape his pro-choice views — was feeling that ol' virtue-signaling spirit again during the presidential debate Thursday.
Seems Ruffalo was put off by a back-and-forth about illegal immigration and felt the need to educate all of us on the topic. Red State said the actor's since-deleted Twitter post read, "Unless you are Native American you are an immigrant in this country. FULL STOP. We all came from somewhere else. We are living on their ancestral land. We all came from somewhere else."
Oh boy.
As you might guess, Ruffalo's misguided declaration set off more than a few people:
"African Americans are not immigrants," one commenter wrote. "We were enslaved and dragged here. Slavery is not immigration. You're too grown, and we're too far into 2020, for you to say something this ridiculous."
"I remember those old good days were immigrants worked 9-5 on the cotton fields earning a decent salary," another user quipped.
"My peeps were not born here and they certainly did not immigrant," another user said. "They were stolen from their home lands and brought here in chains. Please don't leave this fact out of the equation."
Another commenter echoed the same sentiments — and added an additional observation: "Native Americans came here from somewhere else too! You think they grew up out of the ground one day. BLACK AMERICANS were brought here against our will and YOUR ancestors forced into 200 years of slavery to build this country. We aren't immigrants. F*** you Mark."
Historian Blair Amadeus Imani offered a more civil correction to Ruffalo:

Canadian Government to Allot $163Mln for Domestic Vaccine Development
The Canadian government will allot $162.8 million for the development of domestic vaccines, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters on Friday.
"Today, I can announce that we are investing C$214 million [US$162.8 million] for made-in-Canada vaccines," Trudeau said.
Up to $131.7 million will reportedly go toward advancing Quebec City-based Medicago’s vaccine candidate and to build a vaccine production facility, Trudeau said.
In addition, the government will provide $31.5 million to Vancouver-based Precision NanoSystems Incorporated and the National Research Council of Canada to advance vaccine candidates in different stages of clinical trials.
The development comes following September plans, announced by Trudeau, to procure 20 million doses of a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine from British pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca.
The push for a vaccine comes amid increasing numbers of novel coronavirus infections in the country and in the world. Trudeau stated that on Thursday, Canada’s public health agency recorded the highest number of infections since the onset of the pandemic in March.
The Public Health Agency of Canada said 2,436 new coronavirus cases were reported on Thursday alone. A combined 1,894 new cases in Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec pushed Canada’s total tally to 211,042, according to data released by provincial health agencies on Friday.

Federal MP Peter Dutton covers up $39 million fraud and theft at the Australian Border Force
A corrupt payment of $39 million was made by the Australian Border Force to a company called Austal in 2015/2016 when federal MP Peter Dutton was in charge of Border Force. Two barristers who were meant to be investigating the matter on behalf of the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI) were sacked by the newly appointed commission chief, Jaala Hinchcliffe this year.
Border Force is Peter Dutton’s responsibility as he was appointed Minister for Home Affairs in December 2017 which also has oversight for Border Force. Prior to that Peter Dutton was Minister for Immigration and Border Protection from 23.12.2014 to 28.8.2018 which covers the period when the $39 fraud and theft took place.
And as we all know Peter Dutton rules his department with an iron fist so the $39 million would not have been paid without his approval. Yet his name hasn’t, at this point, been mentioned in reports on the scandal so maybe we should start calling him Teflon Pete or Majic Pete.

The investigation is looking into why the Australian Border Force, in late 2015 and early 2016, disregarded internal advice that it should not pay Austal part of a $44.6 million success fee for delivering patrol boats used to target people and contraband smugglers and illegal fishing.
The fee was meant to be paid only if Austal met key milestones to deliver eight problem-free patrol boats. The boats were delivered but the Border Force advice stated the ASX200 company had failed to reach the milestones because the boats were plagued with problems.
However, after intense lobbying by Austal, Border Force paid out $39 million, with the first $31 million handed over two days before Christmas in 2015. A further $8 million was paid in June 2016, according to Border Force records.
In the 2015-16 year, donations records reveal Austal donated $60,000 to the Liberal Party, including $20,000 to the party’s West Australian branch. It donated $1500 that same year to the ALP. (Click here to read more)

The chief of Australia’s national anti-corruption commission rejected advice from external barristers that her agency should hold private coercive hearings as part of its investigation into suspected corruption in the Australian Border Force.
Instead, Jaala Hinchcliffe, head of the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity, sacked the barrister who made the recommendation and ignored his memo laying out a plan to interrogate officials suspected of making tens of millions of dollars in corrupt payments.
As well as removing Mr Hyde and Ms Tang in April, Ms Hinchcliffe also scrapped Mr Griffin’s planned public coercive hearings into corruption allegations surrounding gaming giant Crown Resorts. She removed Sydney barrister David McLure, SC, and his colleague Shipra Chordia as counsel assisting that inquiry, and instead released a limited report. That found Home Affairs gave preferential visa treatment to Crown Resorts’ high-roller gamblers, including people who had initially been refused entry on character grounds, but it made no finding of corruption. Soros Steers Last-Minute Cash to Boost Black, Latino Turnout in Battleground States
Liberal billionaire George Soros is pumping last-minute cash into efforts to boost black and Latino turnout in battleground states.
New Federal Election Commission records released Thursday show that Soros's Democracy PAC gave $500,000 apiece to both the Black PAC and the Somos PAC, which work to mobilize black and Latino voters, respectively. Last month, the financier also funneled millions to electoral efforts in Pennsylvania and Michigan via the Strategic Victory Fund, a super PAC linked to his Democracy Alliance donor network.
The cash adds to the $70 million that Soros has already poured into the 2020 elections, an amount that is triple what he had spent on the 2016 elections, his previous high. It also puts his spending in line with fellow billionaires, such as Michael Bloomberg, who are injecting last-minute cash into Florida and other swing states to boost Democrats in the home stretch of the elections.
The Somos PAC describes itself as the "first progressive, centralized hub for research, messaging, training, and mobilization" for Latinos in critical battleground states. Its newest financial filings, also released Thursday, show that Soros's Democracy PAC and Bloomberg's Florida Freedom PAC are among its biggest donors. The Somos PAC has spent millions on voter outreach benefiting Biden, Senate candidate Mark Kelly in Arizona, and Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D.) in Florida's 26th Congressional District.
The Black PAC is focused on black voter turnout and has spent millions backing Biden, Sen. Gary Peters (D.) in Michigan, Cal Cunningham in North Carolina, and Reps. Lucy McBath (D.) in Georgia and Elaine Luria (D.) in Virginia, among others, according to filings. Soros's latest contribution to the PAC comes on the heels of the $1 million in funding he sent the group in late July. The financier has also given hefty amounts to the Nuestro PAC, Latino Victory Fund, United We Dream, Black Men Vote, and Color of Change, all of which work to mobilize minority voters.

Trump Admin Leads 32 Nations in U.N. Rebuke: No International ‘Right’ to Abortion
The Trump administration led a 32-nation signing ceremony of a declaration that affirms there is no international right to abortion.
On Thursday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Health & Human Services Alex Azar co-hosted the virtual signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration along with the governments of Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, and Uganda.
The declaration serves as a rebuke to the pro-abortion rights U.N. and World Health Organization (W.H.O.).
It states the nations join to promote women’s health as well as the “strength of the family and of a successful and flourishing society.” The governments also affirm “the essential priority of protecting the right to life.”
The nations that signed onto the declaration, which represent 1.6 billion people, also “reaffirm ‘all are equal before the law,’” and that “human rights of women are an inalienable, integral, and indivisible part of all human rights and fundamental freedoms.”
The governments declare “the inherent ‘dignity and worth of the human person,’ that ‘every human being has the inherent right to life,’ and the commitment ‘to enable women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth and provide couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant.’”
The declaration emphasizes that “in no case should abortion be promoted as a method of family planning,” and that “the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.”
The governments also assert that “women and girls must enjoy equal access to quality education, economic resources, and political participation,” as well as equal access to employment and decision-making.
“This is the first time these nations have committed to working together – despite cultural and religious differences – to ensure that human rights are extended to every member of the human family,” Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, observed in a statement.
Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser praised the commitment of the Trump administration to the right to life:

Federal judge blocks new DOJ effort to ban WeChat downloads from US app stores, citing users’ First Amendment rights
A US federal judge has denied a government request to blacklist the Chinese-owned WeChat program from app stores, arguing that the sweeping ban is far too broad and would violate the speech rights of users.
Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler shot down the Justice Department’s renewed attempt to prohibit the app in a ruling on Friday, upholding a previous decision on the grounds that the ban is “not narrowly tailored to address the government’s significant interest in national security” and does not survive “scrutiny under the First Amendment.”
Though the DOJ argued the move would be “content neutral” and respect the speech rights of WeChat users, Beeler concluded that the restrictions “burden substantially more speech than is necessary to further the government’s legitimate interests” and would leave “no viable alternative platforms or apps for the Chinese-speaking and Chinese-American community.”
A pair of executive orders signed by President Donald Trump in August designated Chinese apps WeChat and TikTok as threats to US national security, accusing Beijing of using the programs for surveillance and data-theft. The president directed the Department of Commerce to prohibit all US transactions with the apps’ Chinese owners – Tencent and ByteDance – including removing them from US-based app stores.
Beeler’s first ruling on the attempted ban was handed down last month following a legal challenge by the WeChat Users Alliance, a US nonprofit, which argued that barring the app would be a “serious violation of the Constitutional rights of WeChat users in the US.” The judge agreed to temporarily halt the ban, saying the suit raised serious First Amendment concerns, prompting the DOJ to submit new arguments, which were heard and rejected on Friday.
The Trump administration’s bid to ban TikTok has run into similar obstacles, with a judge granting an injunction against the move last month, allowing the app to remain on offer in app stores for now. Though the court sided with TikTok’s parent company ByteDance, the ruling fell short of outright blocking the restrictions, which are still set to come into effect November 12. The company is now pursuing further legal action to overturn the ban altogether, even while it continues negotiations to transfer ownership stakes to US firms Walmart and Oracle in hopes of evading the restrictions should its lawsuit fail.

Teen accused of plot to kill Biden is son of late ‘Oscar Schindler for Tibetans’
Alexander Treisman arrested for alleged murder scheme,child porn; his father was prominent Jewish activist for Tibet who worked with Dalai Lama
JTA — The 19-year-old man who allegedly plotted to kill Joe Biden was the son of a prominent Jewish attorney who helped broker the first meeting between a US president and the Dalai Lama.
News broke Friday about the arrest in May of Alexander Hillel Treisman, a teenager who a court document says purchased an automatic rifle and traveled to multiple states, and who allegedly had a checklist in his car whose final item read “execute.”
He posted online about killing Biden, searched for the presidential candidate’s home address and drove to within four miles of the residence.
Treisman has also been charged with three counts of child pornography,according to court documents that were obtained this week by local North Carolina station WBTV and reported on Friday in The Washington Post.
He was apparently living in North Carolina at the time of his arrest and is being held in a US District Court in Durham.
Treisman is the son of a Jewish human rights activist and one-time Senate candidate in New Mexico. His father, Eric Treisman, was known for his work with Tibetan immigrants and was once called an “Oscar Schindler for Tibetans,” an allusion to the German famous for saving more than 1000 Jews during the Holocaust.
Eric Treisman died in 2009, days after finalizing his divorce from Alexander Treisman’s mother.
A close acquaintance of the family during Alexander Treisman’s childhood confirmed to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the man who was arrested was the son of Eric Treisman.
Alexander Treisman was indicted by a federal grand jury in September on the child pornography charges, but his alleged offenses are wide-ranging and reflective of a world of online social networks in which mass shootings and abusive acts are casually discussed, joked about and glorified.
According to the court document, he posted about assassinating Biden on iFunny, a social network popular with extremists, searched online for Biden’s home address and stockpiled weapons and ammunition that police found in a van he abandoned in a bank parking lot in the city of Kannapolis in North Carolina.

WASHINGTON, October 24. /TASS/. The United States has introduced sanctions against Russia’s Central Scientific Research Institute of Chemistry and Mechanics (TsNIIKhM), the website of the US Department of the Treasury reported on Friday.
According to their data, the restrictions were introduced within the framework of the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA), a United States federal law. According to the US authorities, the Institute is "connected to the destructive Triton malware" which "was designed specifically to target and manipulate industrial safety systems". Such systems allow the emergency shutdown of the equipment at an enterprise in case of a dangerous situation, however, this malware can hinder that. Due to this fact, the agency noted that the virus is considered to be "the most dangerous threat activity publicly known".
Moscow has repeatedly refuted such allegations.
"The Russian Government continues to engage in dangerous cyber activities aimed at the United States and our allies," said US Secretary of the Treasury Steven T. Mnuchin. "This Administration will continue to aggressively defend the critical infrastructure of the United States from anyone attempting to disrupt it," he added.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Russia of continuing harmful and dangerous actions in cyberspace which threaten the security of the US and its allies. According to him, Washington will use all possible instruments in response, including sanctions.
According to the US authorities, the TsNIIKhM was allegedly responsible for "building customized tools that enabled the attack" on an unidentified petrochemical facility in the Middle East in 2017. And in 2019, hackers behind the development of the Triton malware allegedly studied possible loopholes in the security systems of 20 objects of the US electrical grid.
Inclusion in the sanctions list means asset freezing in the United States and the ban for US citizens or firms to engage in business with persons in the list.

If not that would be unlawful.

Hunter Biden traveled to China on Air Force Two in December 2013 and arranged for his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to shake hands with the CEO of BHR. At the time of the meeting, which Hunter Biden later described as social in nature, BHR was seeking to raise $1.5 billion from Chinese state-backed investors. The firm currently manages the equivalent of $2.1 billion in assets, according to its website.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer, on behalf of his client, said in a statement Sunday that the younger Biden had served as an unpaid member of BHR’s board since its founding in 2013, and that it wasn’t until October 2017 that he invested $420,000 to obtain a 10% equity stake in the firm.
But Hunter Biden did not invest in BHR Partners directly.
Rather, Chinese business records reveal a company called Skaneateles LLC, which Hunter Biden controls alongside Schwerin, became a BHR shareholder on Oct. 23, 2017.
