CAL FIRE DETERMINES CAUSE OF YUBA COUNTY WILLOW FIRE TO BE ARSON
YUBA COUNTY, Calif. - Cal Fire says the Willow Fire, sparked in early September and destroying almost a dozen structures, has been found to be caused by arson.
In a press release, the department says the fire was started just before 1 a.m. on Sept. 9 near the community of Dobbins. The fire burned 1,311 acres and about 11 structures, both homes and outbuildings.
Cal Fire is now looking for information into the person or persons who are responsible for starting the Willow Fire. If you do have any information on who the suspect or suspects might be, you are asked to call 1-800-468-4408.
The department is also urging residents to stay vigilant and aware of suspicious persons when a fire does start. They also added to report what could be suspicious activity.
