Newton kinda never explained the cause of "gravity". It's a variable, in case you didn't know, not a constant.
We've "learned" to associate it with "mass" and "weight". However, "mass" and "weight" get redefined under different "gravitational" circumstances. Ergo, it's a cluster-fuck of word salads, until you get to the mathematics, which are reversed engineered to "validate" a "theory".
It's really quite a mess. Although, once upon a time in the 19th century, we seemed to be on the right track for a moment. That's likely why they decided to retard the majority of the "sciences" before we could figure out all the bull shit they've been forcing up our collective asses, until it inevitably infested out craniums.
