The Warrior Goddess, Orion sets Due West at the latitude of Washington D.C. From the viewpoint of the Capitol building, Orion sets directly behind the Washington Monument and Sirius sets over the Potomac River, on the alignment of Maryland Avenue.

Orion points her bow towards Aldebran, the brightest star in the constellation of Taurus and the further on to the Pleiades. Aldebran sets over the White House, on the alignment of Pennsylvania Avenue
