Yeah, Joe knows stuff, much more than Hunter dreamed of knowing. He could, after realizing he's been fed to the wolves, take the Samson option, and bring down the whole house of cards.

But would he? That's the problem with mutual destruction. Hunter doesn't give a shit, he'd gladly bring it down so he doesn't have to suffer anymore, but Joe is a survivor. Even on his last legs, he may just stay mum till his dying day, believing in his invincibility with his knowledge.

Hadn't thought of Jill, but now that you have me thinking, she has known he's a pedo, and though he might want the Samson option, she wouldn't want to go down in history as a pedo-enabler; women's vanity etc. She would protect that vanity at all costs.
