September 10, 2020 @ 7:35 AM | Updated: 7:38 AM
In a recent obituary, an Auburn woman asked friends, family, and the community to not vote for Joe Biden in November’s presidential election.
Patricia Anne Wiggins made the unusual request, which was published this week.
“In lieu of flowers please don’t vote for Mr. Joseph R. Biden Jr.,” the obituary reads.
It reads that Wiggins will be missed for her ‘wit’ and ‘generous heart’.
Wiggins is survived by her five children, 13 grandchildren and two brothers. Services will be held privately for family members.

Vice President Joe Biden, in Auburn for niece's wedding, stops at Hunter's Diner
Robert Harding | Jun 29, 2014 Updated Jan 10, 2017
AUBURN | Before leaving town after his niece's wedding, Vice President Joe Biden had one more stop to make.
Biden and his son, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, surprised employees and patrons at Hunter's Diner on Genesee Street in Auburn.
Here are a few photos provided by Hunter's Diner and posted on the restaurant's Facebook page from the Bidens' visit:
The Bidens spent about 30 minutes at the diner. The vice president didn't leave Hunters empty-handed. He ordered a chocolate milkshake before heading to the wedding reception at Emerson Park in Owasco.
Biden has a connection to the diner, which has been operating since 1951. His late wife, Neilia Hunter Biden, was an Auburn native. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter, previously owned the Genesee Street restaurant.
