Didn't say that I believed the ergot theory….just brought up that that's the current "explanation" for why the Trials happened.
I had relatives in the Mass. Bay Colony at that time so I will do some research but, like I said, not something that will give quick results, necessarily…especially if we're being careful to be as accurate as possible with old records that are often contradictory.

I do as well & there were certainly some accusers that had/could have had alterior motives. Can't remember which one, but one of the accusers were in a land dispute with one of the accused. Was that dispute the real reason for the accusation….or something else.
