Pakistan's PM Khan Accuses Macron Of 'Attacking Islam'

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan accused French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday of "attacking Islam", after the European leader criticised Islamists and defended the publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed.

Khan's comments follow statements Macron made last week after a French teacher was beheaded near Paris after he had shown cartoons of the Prophet during a class he was leading on free speech.

Macron said the teacher "was killed because Islamists want our future."

In a series of tweets, Khan said the remark would sow division.

"This is a time when Pres Macron could have put healing touch & denied space to extremists rather than creating further polarisation & marginalisation that inevitably leads to radicalisation," Khan wrote.

"It is unfortunate that he has chosen to encourage Islamophobia by attacking Islam rather than the terrorists who carry out violence, be it Muslims, White Supremacists or Nazi ideologists."

Macron already sparked controversy earlier this month when he said "Islam is a religion that is in crisis all over the world".

The French teacher became the target of an online hate campaign over his choice of lesson material – the same images that sparked a bloody assault by Islamist gunmen on the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, the original publisher, in January 2015.

Caricatures of Mohammed are forbidden by Islam.

Blasphemy is an explosive issue in ultra-conservative Pakistan, where anyone deemed to have insulted Islam or Islamic figures can face the death penalty.

"By attacking Islam, clearly without having any understanding of it, President Macron has attacked & hurt the sentiments of millions of Muslims in Europe & across the world," Khan said.

In an address to the United Nations last month, Khan, a populist leader who has been known to play to Pakistan's hardline religious base, blasted Charlie Hebdo for re-publishing the cartoons, saying "wilful provocations" should be "universally outlawed".

Several Muslim countries have called for a boycott of French goods.

How the Media Would Report on the Dianne Feinstein ‘Scandal’ If She Were a Republican

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) is under attack by members of her own party—not over some policy dispute but because Feinstein said something nice about Sen. Radical leftists continued to exert their influence on the Democratic Party by demanding the removal of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"It's time for Sen. Feinstein to step down from her leadership position on the Senate Judiciary Committee. If she won't, her colleagues need to intervene," said Brian Fallon, the executive director of Demand Justice, a far-left activist organization with ties to a shadowy dark money group.

Justice Democrats, the radical left-wing super PAC responsible for the rise of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and other freshman members of the "Squad," who have consistently turned a blind eye to anti-Semitism, also called on Feinstein to step down.

FCC paid $27 million to fraudulent Hawaiian communications company

The FCC is now fining the company $50 million, and the owner has been sentenced to time in prison.

The Golden Horseshoe is a weekly designation from Just the News intended to highlight egregious examples of wasteful taxpayer spending by the government. The award is named for the horseshoe-shaped toilet seats for military airplanes that cost the Pentagon a whopping $640 each back in the 1980s.

This week, our award is going to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for awarding more than $27 million to the sole shareholder of Sandwich Isles Communications and its parent company Waimama Enterprises, which used the taxpayer dollars fraudulently for a number of years.

For a decade-and-a-half, Albert Hee was awarded millions of dollars annually through the Universal Service Fund to provide the Hawaiian Homelands with a developed communications network and broadband service, something which the area was lacking. The Hawaiian Homelands are large areas held in trust for native Hawaiians by the state of Hawaii.

In early October, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai announced that a nearly $50 million forfeiture of funds would be imposed against the businessman responsible for the fraud, Albert Hee, and his companies.

Over a period of 15-years, Hee diverted tens of millions of taxpayer dollars intended for "the deployment and maintenance of communications networks" in the Hawaiian Homelands to a series of vacations and personal expenses, including: college tuition payments for his children, vehicles, significant salaries for his wife and children, whom he kept on his payrolls, and $90,000 on the salary of a personal masseuse.

"As the Commission determined in 2016, and reaffirmed last year, Sandwich Isles has no claim to a single dime of the $27 million it improperly obtained from the Fund," said the FCC Chairman in a statement. In 2016, Albert Hee was sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison for using taxpayer-funded public money fraudulently.

Hee was in charge of a "willful effort to defraud the Universal Service Fund —essentially, all taxpayers — for private gain," Pai said.

Memo suggests FBI opened Manafort probe before Trump hired lobbyist but gave no warning

Some question why bureau didn't give Trump a defensive briefing in spring 2016.

A recently declassified government document suggests the FBI opened its most recent investigation of Paul Manafort in January 2016, two months before President Trump hired the lobbyist as a senior official in his campaign. The revelation is prompting new questions about why the bureau did not provide the GOP candidate with a defensive briefing.

The information about the start of the Manafort probe was contained in footnote 332 of a spreadsheet that FBI analysts constructed analyzing the lack of corroboration for Christopher Steele's now infamous dossier alleging Trump and Russia colluded to hijack the 2016 election, an allegation that has since been disproven.

The spreadsheet was declassified earlier this month, revealing the FBI found little to no corroboration for Steele's allegations against Trump but nonetheless used the dossier to support a FISA surveillance warrant to spy on the Trump campaign through adviser Carter Page.

The information in the footnote and spreadsheet states an "opening EC" or electronic communication was generated in the Manafort probe on Jan. 13, 2016, and by August 2016 "Manafort is an active subject of a money laundering and tax evasion criminal case out of Washington Field Office."

The timing suggested in the spreadsheet is consistent with an account from Ukrainian prosecutors, who revealed last year they were summoned on short notice to Washington by the Obama White House for a series of meetings in January 2016 during which Justice Department officials pressed them to find evidence against Manafort and his work for the Ukrainian Party of Regions. The prosecutors also stated the Obama DOJ officials asked the Ukrainians to drop their investigation of the Hunter Biden-related Burisma Holdings gas company and let the FBI take it over.

Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson last week wrote a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray asking for verification of the claim in the spreadsheet and demanding to know why Trump wasn't given a courtesy warning before he hired Manafort if in fact the probe into the lobbyist started in January 2016 like the spreadsheet stated.

Presidential candidates, including Hillary Clinton, have gotten defensive briefings over the years when an issue involving national security concerns affects their campaigns.

"What steps, if any, did the FBI take to alert the Trump campaign about its investigation into Manafort when he joined the Trump campaign in March 2016?" Johnson wrote. Wray has yet to respond.

With the Hunter Biden Expose, Suppression is a Bigger Scandal Than The Actual Story

The incredible decision by Twitter and Facebook to block access to a New York Post story about a cache of emails reportedly belonging to Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter, with Twitter going so far as to lock the 200 year-old newspaper out of its own account for over a week, continues to be a major underreported scandal.

The hypocrisy is mind-boggling. Imagine the reaction if that same set of facts involved the New York Times and any of its multitudinous unverifiable “exposes” from the last half-decade: from the similarly-leaked “black ledger” story implicating Paul Manafort, to its later-debunked “repeated contacts with Russian intelligence” story, to its mountain of articles about the far more dubious Steele dossier. Vermont Goes “Tone Deaf” On Free Speech: Principal Fired Over “All Lives Matter” Statement

We previously discussed the disturbing case of Vermont Principal Tiffany Riley who was suspended after she wrote on Facebook that she does not agree with the Black Lives Matter movement. Shortly after that posting, Mount Ascutney School Board held an emergency meeting to declare that it is “uniformly appalled” and that Riley was “tone deaf” for making such a statement. In what should now be a major free speech case, the Board unanimously voted to fire Riley, citing her “denigrating, derogatory, or contrary to the movement for social equity for African Americans, including the Black Lives Matter movement.”

The Board’s 50-page decision is a virtual invitation for a lawsuit. It is clear that Riley is being punished for holding an opposing view of BLM. While struggling to find objective grounds for termination like a failure “to see both sides of an issue” or being “stubborn when facing criticism,” it is abundantly clear that Riley is being fired for her statement on BLM. Indeed, those objections would normally warrant a sit down with a superintendent, not a termination. Instead, the report highlights the statement as “’diametrically contrary’ to her job of promoting racial equity.”

Here again is the statement:

I firmly believe that Black Lives Matter, but I DO NOT agree with the coercive measures taken to get to this point across; some of which are falsified in an attempt to prove a point. While I want to get behind BLM, I do not think people should be made to feel they have to choose black race over human race. While I understand the urgency to feel compelled to advocate for black lives, what about our fellow law enforcement? What about all others who advocate for and demand equity for all? Just because I don’t walk around with a BLM sign should not mean I am a racist.

The Board added that she was “upset” in speaking with Superintendent David Baker despite the fact that Baker was widely denounced for his comments in the controversy. The Report states that Baker had told Riley that her comments were “inflammatory, “incendiary,” and “racist” and then expresses shock that she took offense. She is quoted as saying “I am a little offended that you, my leader who has known me for seven years, would even sit here and suggest that there is some racist in me. I am a little offended by that.”

The most interesting part of the Report (which refers to Riley as “Employee”) is the discussion of the events leading up to the Facebook posting. It concerned the simple painting of an American flag at the school before graduation, a symbol declaring insulting or disturbing by Iyanna Williams, a Windsor School graduate.

Putin Addresses Trump's Claim Russia Paid Biden

Russian President Vladimir Putin has refused to comment on US President Donald Trump's claims that Russia allegedly sponsored his rival in the US presidential race, Joe Biden.

"No comment", Putin said as aired by the broadcaster Rossiya 1.

During the final debate ahead of the 3 November vote, Trump claimed that Biden had received $3.5 million from Russia through Putin. Biden rejected ever taking "a penny" from foreign sources and also expressed a belief that Russia did not want him to win.

Trump also said during the debate that Biden's son, Hunter, allegedly maintains business relations with Elena Baturina, the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

"It is known that Elena Baturina was doing business or maybe — I do not even know about that — is still doing business. Probably, she had numerous business contacts, business ties with her foreign partners. Are there Americans on this list? I just don't know anything about that", Putin said when asked to comment on the allegations.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday said, commenting on the debates, that the contenders in the US presidential race "compete for who dislikes Russia more". The Kremlin has repeatedly denied any attempts to meddle in US domestic affairs.

This is not the first time US politicians and the media have pushed the so-called "Russian Meddling" narrative, with the FBI and US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) recently claiming that a group of hackers funded by Moscow had infiltrated government servers.

The American media also claimed that the scandal around Hunter Biden's leaked emails was also an operation by Russian intelligence, however, the FBI stated the case has no links to Moscow.

Over the last several years, the Kremlin has repeatedly denied allegations in the US media about meddling in American elections, stressing they had no evidence and were just part of the internal political struggle in the United States.
