Amish apparently do not pay Social Security, but neither do they receive benefits, either. I think there is a city in Texas that took this stand (declined to participate in SS) and I would like that option available to all Americans. However, Amish do pay taxes and at least some of their community members face persecution.

Any traditional community of Jews, Christians, etc that believes in the establishment of healthy families and produces children via heterosexual marriages is under massive unmitigated assault atm. Let's stick together and stop slurring entire communities, without sauce.
