The bigger deal is that illegally obtained evidence (Podesta emails, among other things in possession of Wikileaks and God knows what Trump campaign has) submitted by plaintiffs in a civil case blows open the door to use it in a criminal case. It makes illegally obtained evidence admissible because they opened the door.
