Many people think the Jews are descendants of the 12 Tribes. They are not. They are Edomite/Canaanite/etc. They are not Hebrews/Israelites. Jesus/Yahshua knew them for who they were as the scripture you posted states. John chapter 8 is full of truth about the Jews.
