two questions:
1- did they drop anything?
2- what was the grim news?
simple and easy low tech solution- go back to glass and limit the use of plastic. Also go back to rubber instead of plastic. Go back to paper instead of plastic. We all survived quite well before plastic was common. Glass can be recycled forever, plastic not so much.
