Monitoring airspace for H60 blackhawks.
Currently only 5 showing on scope.
Checking individual H60 Blackhawks.
Usually choppers do not fly long distances or high altitudes.
PF who departed in LB thought it was unusual. I'm in the backup planefag corps so I don't know if unusual or not.
The Portland one just landed moments ago.

Ham repeaters are generally for 2m VHF and 380 to 500-ish MHz UHF, providing local comms within a range of 10-50 mi. or so, depending on power level and where the antennas are situated (mountops are best). These are line of sight comms only. The comms on these freqs are mostly FM. The antenna is typically a short vertical about 1.5 meters high, often on a tower.
10m is the highest HF ham band and there are very few 10m repeaters. It provides shorter range comms during daytime and long range comms generally only at the peak of the solar cycle. The 10m band contains an SSB portion (USB) and a CW (morse code) portion. It requires a decent antenna.
