Just thought of something about the Finger Lakes that might be relevant.
Long ago, visited a person near town of Corning, near Cornell Univ.
They took us for a hike to wooded area into a beautiful canyon that had a stream flowing out of it.
The unusual thing about this canyon was there was a continuous stream of cool air there, like being in air conditioning.
It was summer, hot. But the air within this canyon was constantly moving and was really cool.
I wonder if there are caves there.
Or if it was just a feature of the unusual terrain.
