As a child, I grew up around rhe Finger Lakes. I remember clearly the jokes about going to watch the submarine races. It was what teens said when they were going to park at the lakes and make out. It started with teens of the late 50's and early 60's and continues to this day in some places.

Chittenango is about an hour drive from Seneca Falls and is where the writer of Wizard of Oz grew up. Cittenango was the inspiration of the story and Yellow Brick Road because the streets were paved with brick. ( later painted yellow)
