Knowingly falsifying news. Isn't this an FCC violation? Also, applies to RICO if it is tied in with gaining corrupt power.
I've seen others mention that knowingly presenting false information as 'news' is an FCC violation. I haven't dug into the laws - it isn't my wheelhouse.
>what about basic libel and defamation?
Well, politics is dirty business anyway, but yes, technically. Given what's going on, I'd bet on the RICO aspect.
>Much more leeway is given in the latter.
Yes, although these outlets are fast and loose with that and claim to be unbiased and 'news'.
>Knowingly publishing classified materials.
Hasn't this been ruled to be legal if it is in the public interest? I recall a landmark case about that. The leaker is guilty but the outlet is not IF the information is in the public interest. Also, I believe it any information that is evidence of corruption in government cannot be classified.
Ok, so Sessions has been going after unauthorized disclosures in media because there's been a surge of them (300%+) in 2017. Oh Boy Howdy….yet another incoming spear to pierce their pedo-murderous anuses!
Slay them.
