A C-17 Globemaster pilot checks the alignment of a KC-135 Stratotankers aerial refueling boom. The flying boom refueling system can transfer up to a thousand gallons of fuel per minute, with the KC-135 able to hold 202,800 pounds of JP-4 jet fuel.
