I didn't know that….
I've only been to one Catholic funeral in my life. Otherwise I don't associate with Catholics.
Interesting story- I went to the funeral as the guy was a old neighbor of mine, died in the nursing home at 85-90. Had a dog that was 28 years old. He had moved to the trailer park from another town about 40-50 miles away.
In that small town there was a grand catholic church and I went to the funeral. They didn't have many people at the funeral so they asked me to be a pallbearer to get the guy's casket into the car.
Will never go to another Catholic church for any reason. Too creepy.
