Collusion: Hunter Biden Allegedly Represented Chinese CEO in Deal to Help Russia’s State Oil Company

Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, allegedly acted as the “personal attorney” for Ye Jianming, the chair of a major Chinese energy firm, in a deal to buy a 14% stake in a Russian state oil company facing U.S. sanctions.

The stunning accusation was made by Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of the Biden family, during an interview Tuesday evening with Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

Bobulinski explained that he was to have been the CEO of a new firm, Sinohawk, that was to be a joint venture between CEFC — the “capitalistic side of the Chinese government” — and the Biden family. He said he met with Joe Biden in 2017 to discuss the arrangement, contradicting Biden’s denials on the campaign trail.

However, the deal fell through, he explained, partly because CEFC tried to buy a 14% stake in Rosneft, the Russian state oil company. At that time, Russia faced sanctions because of its invasion of Ukraine and seizure of Crimea in 2014. The Financial Times reported that the CEFC deal was to help Rosneft find new markets “as relations deteriorate with the west.”

That deal, too, eventually fell through, as CEFC was investigated for corruption by China and other countries as well.

Bobulinski recalled that in July 2017, Chinese premier Xi Jinping was in Moscow for meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Bobulinski recalled that he was shocked to learn of CEFC’s interest in Russia, which placed Sinohawk in a precarious position.

In September 2017, once CEFC had announced the deal to buy a stake in Rosneft, and the $10 million that CEFC was supposed to have invested in Sinohawk had never materialized, Bobulinski grew more concerned.

In October, he said, “I did reach out to Hunter Biden … asking him, ‘Hey, listen, they haven’t funded the $10 million, have you done something that I’m not aware of? Have you gone around us? Have you started a parallel discussion with Chairman Ye that I should be conscious of?”

Bobulinski said that Hunter Biden informed him, via text message, “I’m acting as the personal attorney to Chairman Ye.”

“Hunter Biden is now telling me,” Bobulinksi recalled, “that he’s meeting personally, one-on-one with Chairman Ye in his $50 million penthouse in New York, and if he can’t meet him, he’s picking up the phone and calling him, but they only discuss things in person.

“You can imagine my frustration,” Bobulinski said. “You’re acting as the personal attorney to Chairman Ye while they’re tendering for 14% of the Russian state-owned energy company, a deal valued at $9 billion? What am I missing here?”

Hunter Biden is reportedly licensed to practice law in the state of Connecticut.

Axelrod: Hunter Biden Story ‘Right-Wing Conspiracy Theory’ — Voters Don’t Care

Former Obama senior advisor David Axelrod said Tuesday on CNN that the allegations of corruption against Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter are an unverified “right-wing conspiracy theory” that is not moving voters.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “The conservative media, the MAGA media their focusing so much on Joe Biden’s son Hunter. Ted Cruz told Jonathan Swan of Axios he doesn’t think that moves one voter. I mean, I’ve got to believe if the Hunter Biden story is important to you, you’re already voting for Trump.”

Axelrod said, “Yeah. You saw at the debate the president spent maybe five to six minutes trying to explain it, and is sounded like it is, a right-wing conspiracy theory that is unverified. There is a more transcendent reality for people right now.”

He continued, “We are in the middle of a pandemic. We have economic problems, and I don’t think that this is what is going to grip them. It does not relate to their lives. This is not 2016, and President Trump has not made the adjustment.”

Chicago On Verge Of Credit Downgrade As Mayor Lightfoot Suggests Novel Idea Of Raising Taxes

The city of Chicago appears to be on the precipice of a credit downgrade, according to its Chief Financial Officer Jennie Huang Bennett. She said on Tuesday that she's "not sure" the city could make it through budget season without facing an inevitable downtick in its rating, according to Bloomberg.

The admission came during a virtual City Council Committee on Budget and Government Operations meeting while answering a question from an alderman about why the city doesn't take on more debt to keep property taxes lower. Bennett is working to try and balance the city's budget for a longer term horizon by raising taxes and trying to create consistent revenue streams.

Boeing, Partners Pledge $46Bln for Fighter Jet Program in Canada

US aerospace giant Boeing and partners are committing $46.3 billion in funding for their fighter jet program proposal in Canada, the company said in a statement.

The announcement comes as Boeing, a Lockheed Martin-led consortium and SAAB AB, are vying to secure a Canadian government contract to supply the country its next-generation fighter jet fleet.

"Through five new agreements, Boeing and its Canadian aerospace partners are preparing to deliver C$61 billion [USD $46.3 billion] and nearly 250,000 jobs to the Canadian economy," the statement said on Tuesday.

The effort to replace Canada’s ageing fighter jet fleet has dragged on for decades with successive governments failing to honour the Royal Canadian Air Forces’ request for new aircraft.

Canada became one of a host of countries to enter negotiations on the purchase of F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter-bomber from Lockheed Martin. Ultimately, the F-35 program incurred major setbacks, including ballooning costs and delayed delivery, which became a lightning rod for controversy in Canada.

The F-35 contract with Lockheed Martin was scrapped in 2016, with Canada having to pay exuberant cancellation fees and a number of Canadian suppliers to the development of the F-35 were excluded from the project.

The initial evaluation of the proposal is expected to be completed by 2021, with the contract likely to be awarded in 2022. According to reports, the expected cost of the purchase is between $11.2 billion and $14.2 billion.

Delivery of the first aircraft is expected as early as 2025.
