I've not watched much tv for 20 years or so. Guess that's how I ended up here. Anyway, it became obvious to me long ago that the TV shows were programming us to accept more and more stupid shit instead of truth of being good human beings - especially to each other.
Soap operas are still a big big deal in Central America. Every tienda will have a TV playing during the day and a crowd of regulars.
