Honestly, this place ran it's course as a "research board" at least almost a year ago. Everything needing to be research as been scoured through, everything worth discussing has been talked about. We've kind of just been waiting around for the election the better part of this year. The daytime is even worse, it's literally just a bunch of twitter moms getting into arguments with bots.
You're correct, everything currently happening in the news is just things people here have known for years. Those chastising us for "not researching enough" just make themselves look stupid.
