So I assume no one here believes gov't numbers (all-time high quarterly GDP growth today, specifically) any more than poll numbers or stock market legitimacy.
Question is, how many Americans believe these numbers? Are we so stupid that the vast majority do? Don't answer that.
Are they/we doing it half for re-election/prevent panic/depression or to wake up a ton of people to "these gov't numbers gotta be fake and I shouldn't ever trust my gov't again" … or a little/lotta both?
