postmarks are much different now. It used to be that a stamp would be used, but if that's used it's also passed through another device thta loads on a bar code, and that probalby had other information. And due to the fact of the expected voter fraud I would think that even extra profissions could be added in, secret inks, a way to audit the actual time and date, and location, where that piece was percisely entered into the mail stream.
It's not like it was like in an old movie where suddenly bags and bags of mail can just show up. 'oh we found these in an old mailbox'.
