I was thinking about a Legend for the Map back on Nov 22, 2017.
And posted my musings back then.
These are Nov 22,2017 musings
What is a map?
– a 2-D graphical representation of topography
Why is a map useful?
– It shows relationships between separated areas, borders, features, etc. that cannot be observed from ground level
What is a legend?
– Key identifying what the symbols on the map mean
Why is a legend useful?
– When you see a symbol on the map you read the legend to find out what that symbol means
What is a sequence?
– A series of items enumerated in a specific order
Why is this relevant?
– Directions to go someplace consist of a sequence of map-related statements.
When does a map become a guide?
– A map becomes a guide when you are given a sequence referring to locations on the map
What is a keystone?
Everything stated is relevant.
Everything.
Future provides past.
Map provides picture.
Picture provides 40,000ft. v.
– a 40,000 foot view? Literally 40,000 feet, or just the common idiom?
40,000ft. v. is classified.
Why is a map useful?
Think direction.
– Map directions: North, South, … (pertain to Korea?)
Think full picture.
– Full as in whole, as opposed to divided?
