by your logic, it would be justifiable for some dog owner to shoot you to "protect" their dog. what part of this does not register with you? cats can fend for themselves. we take in strays and usually have from 15-20 at a time. we live in the woods with lots of feral dogs and even coy-wolves. i've watch two coy-wolves go after a single cat. it was a mistake the wolves are not likely to make again. i have a small female about 7 pounds that saw a pack of 6-8 feral dogs come into the yard. while a few other cats ducked under cover, she bushed out her coat and charged straight at the pack hissing and spitting, and the dogs took off running like their ass was on fire. STOP murdering innocent sentient being because you fear what they MIGHT do. you're acting like a psychopath.
