Everything is going to change anon, it’s going to go faster… but for the better. Just as Truth is a force of nature, so is Destiny. God’s Destiny for us cannot be stopped.
You need to look at the history of the church in its entirety. The beginning was healthy. There have been many good and evil popes, and those in between. There were two pillars in society. One being the Royalty/Nobles and the other was the church. There was always a tension between the two. Sometimes the church was captured as well by the royalty/nobility. The royalty/nobility often put their own family in the leadership positions within the church. Yet the church survived. There have also been schisms in the church. Some internal, some external. There have been good Popes who were assassinated as well. The struggle for power by those who are corrupt to control the church against those who want to do right. Dark vs Light. The church can be used to control or liberate… same with Popes.
