I see your point but what you are saying is arguable. You always have to have authority in the church. Just like in society.

To say that there is no need for a pope is much like saying there is no need for a President, then expecting the governors all to come to consensus on all matters.

Protestants refused authority of the church, but now there are over 40k denominations world wide... each claiming to be right.

I agree that the system of authority needs to be greatly changed in the Catholic Church, and many churches world wide. It is very outdated and is based on the Monarchy, much like the divine right of kings.

We know the Holy Spirit chooses our leaders and gives them authority. Like when Jesus sent out the apostles. But the Holy Spirit is also present in the people, the church. “Where two or more are gathered in my name.”

Much like president Trump, God chose him but the people will elect him. The church also needs to vet potential leaders and then have them elected by a vote from every Christian. At the same time like a republic, the church cannot change God’s teachings to suit their needs.

God gives authority… not the bible. The bible has also been used to justify everything under the sun. This is why tradition is important in understanding the bible. Remember that the bible is nothing but oral tradition that has been written down.

Saying someone is a Jew doesn’t mean anything. By their fruits ye shall know them. Jews come in good and evil… like anyone else. That is called being human.

Are you done being retarded?

The Pope is far too busy and old to be giving orders. If something is happening within the church where C=P I would be looking somewhere else. Not saying the pope isn’t corrupt, but rather that if he is someone else higher is giving orders.
