California anon not trusting mail in voting and generally not trusting anything related to voting in the state. Planning to vote in person but somewhat concerned about turning over my mail in ballot to do so. Have decided to spoil my mail in ballot myself by filling it out with my vote just in case it finds its way into the wrong pileโ€ฆ

They already mailed every registered voter in the state a ballot, already have mine. I can in person vote which is a different voting system but must surrender my mail in which if not spoiled is still a valid ballot in the mail in system.

LA county just went to this funky tablet based system. It does print a ballot after you are done for you to verify and then feed back into the ballot box. I had trouble with it not registering touches and used two machines to vote after the first one failed. Also each machine has its own ballot collection box so I don't know what the chain of custody for each machine box is. Not very trusting I guess. Scantron sheet for in person is gone.
