To Christ? The Jesus Christ of the Scriptures is not a "perpetual victim for sin" to be "re-presented" at every mass, bringing Calvary present. The Jesus Christ of the Scriptures offered the sacrifice for sin. By doing so, He paid the wages of the sins of His people. That wage was paid in full, since that wage was death. Christ died, wage paid. His sacrifice was thus finished. It is NOT perpetual. To do so is to trample upon His blood. To claim it to be perpetual is blasphemy, a Lie, and that Lie prevents souls from entering into their Rest in Christ.
Furthermore, "eucharist" means "thanksgiving", and the laws Christ fulfilled were only the written Laws of Moses. Those laws explained the sacrifices. The sacrifice for sin and the sacrifice for thanksgiving were two distinct, separate sacrifices, the one for sin having no leaven present, even being cleansed from everything.
The sacrifice of thanksgiving had to include a loaf of leavened bread. This kept the two sacrifices from being mingled. The Supper therefore is NOT that which Christ offered on Calvary, but a MEMORIAL of that which He offered there. It is instead a THANKSGIVING sacrifice for what Christ FINISHED on Calvary. It is not the sin sacrifice He finished. He is therefore not a "perpetual victim for sin".
He proved that by resurrecting from the dead. The Papacy goes backwards from that resurrection to Calvary still seeking a dead "christ" having not yet finished His sin sacrifice.
