>>11389646 I wonder the same thing every winter. I remember to thank God for my heat when I have it, but I always think about the people who don't have any, especially on the bitter cold nights. Like the other anon said, reach out for help. There are organizations out there that will help with utilities.

I have had to ask for help myself. I got food boxes from the foodbank when I was out of work and when I went back to work and could afford it I donated money to the food bank so they could help others. We are put here to help bear each others burdens. I believe these organizations are closely monitored NOW to prevent what was happening before. If you didn't want help I don't think you would be here.

>>11389925 A program has started in my town where they are giving out food boxes full of locally grown produce. This is all food that would have gone to waste under the old system. The truck set up in front of my house and I was lucky enough to get a box with a bag of potatoes and a bag of apples. I wasn't really in need but they had extra boxes. I made potato salad and apple cobbler. I had almost forgotten how good homemade potato salad is. The old system was stupid. The new rules make sense. No farmer should ever bury his years labor in the ground while people are hungry. It's just not right.

>>11389997 In Phoenix we had the opposite problem during the summer some people can't afford Air conditioning and they die from heat exhaustion. I lived in a trailer park, one of my elderly neighbors was found by a delivery man naked in his house, sitting in his chair dead because he couldn't afford the bills.

>>11390086 When we started here years ago I didn't think it was probable that child rape would become part of the lexicon. Nobody talked about it, and when the victims, like my brother did talk about it they were called crazy and heavily medicated. Things are changing, Praise God, children are being rescued. Hundreds maybe thousands of families reunited.
