>Had to retire this year at 54. Body is tore up from excessive work doing both labor and management for 35yrs.
I bought my first paper route on my 10th birthday. Proudest day of my life. I've never had less than three jobs (one full, two part time) in the 63 years since I started to work.
I know what you mean about being torn up as I'm on a first name basis with most orthopedic surgeons in the region. I refuse to quit working, so I just keep getting repaired like an old pickup truck. That and superior maintenance. Rest, vitamins, exercise, study, all in balance. I hand dug a 60' trench yesterday to bury a line from the well to the shop. I'll finish the job today.
Don't give up. Get some doc to give you diclofenac anti inflammatory, it's miraculous. Get patched up and get back in the saddle. Every cowboy gets thrown off. The trick is getting back on.
Get up early make the bed and get outside.
